What is your average CPC on Google adwords?

Hello to all the marketeers of the keyword, I would like to know what the average CPC you are making a bid for in Google AdWords. I have this view that is lifting the CPC, unless you can get highly specific keywords. Is this necessarily true? What is avg of their earnings to advertise on Adwords program? (Appreciate real-life accounts of specific rather than links to e-books on this) Thanks!
